Mom and I are so excited, we are making plans to go to the "Animal Magnetism" Event sponsored by PAWS Chicago. Mom's on the PAWS Chicago Junior Board. We can't wait! Mom says maybe I can find a cute little Valentine there! I'll be strutting my stuff in a new outfit. Mom is planning my outfit already!! If you live in Chicago you should go too!

I had a wonderful Christmas with my family. Mom made me a one of a kind beautiful Christmas dress that I wore to our Christmas dinner. I'm including a picture of it below, aren't I adorable in it! I am playing with my chicken toy, it's an old one, but I really like it! I had a great time playing with my all of my relatives. Santa brought me some great new toys and some treats! I love new toys! I was so excited I played with them all day long. We stayed at my grandma and grandpa's house for 6 days and I got to spend time with my grandma and grandpa when my mom went out with her friends. I also go to see my uncle which was great since he lives in California, I went to his house once, it is far away. I rode on the airplane for 4 hours when we went there! Mom says I'm a really good traveler. We go lots of places, usually in the car, but sometimes in the plane. Mom was going to go to NYC tomorrow and I was going to stay with my grandma while she was gone, but she's not going now, and I'm happy! I get really sad and lonely when she's not here. Ok, It's time for me to get ready to ring in the new year, Happy Holidays!

I went over to my friend Hillary's house last night, it was tons of fun. My mom and Hillary's mom went to a party, so we got to have a playdate while they were gone! I am beat today though, we chased and chased each other until we couldn't run anymore. My mom took a Carrington Coat over for them to have, and they loved it! Mom is sooo happy now that the Winter Collection is finally launched. So many people have loved the coats. They are a hit!

Penny's back. Sorry for the delay in our blog, we have been busy as a bee around here. My mom is super busy getting the winter collection ready, I am so excited for it to come out! It's good to be the best dressed dog at the park! I was so sad that I didn't get to go to a Halloween party this year. We had several in mind, but we ended up being out of town that weekend, and we were in the car when the parties were taking place. We were so sad. I had my favorite costume all ready to go too. Oh well, there's always next year!

So, I had been scratching my ear since Sunday, and mom suspected that there might be something wrong. So last night, she took me to see my favorite vet Dr. Williams, he is always so nice to me. I was very brave as he looked into my ear, and sure enough, I have an ear infection. He gave mom some ear drops and hopefully it will be feeling all better soon. I hope so, I need to be in tip top shape for Halloween! Mom has added some new costumes to our line, check out the latest one, it's the bee's knees!!

So, today I too my mom for a long walk. It was great. The Bears game was going on and the city was buzzing with excitement. Everywhere we walked we ran into Bears fans. I got to wear my favorite coat, mom hasn't put it on the website yet (I get stuff before everyone else gets access to it! It's great!) I got tons of compliments on my coat of course, it is pretty cute, and comfortable too! So, first we went to my favorite park and then we walked for several blocks, we even discovered a new park that we had never been to before. I'll be sure to drag mom there again, there were lots of other dogs there! Then we walked to my favorite restaurant Hackney's in Printer's Row. They are so nice to dogs there! My mom, a friend of hers, and I all sat on the patio and had some lunch. They let me have a big bowl of water. Lots of other dogs kept walking by so I got to chat with some friends. I met a King Charles Spaniel, a couple of Cocker Spaniels, a couple of Boxers and several other friends! It was very fun today! I'm beat and can't wait to cozy up in my bed for a nice long nap. Going for walks is fun, but napping is sometimes even better! Hope you have had a great weekend.

Hi! I'm Penny the Pug, the cute little dog you see all over Sophisticated Pup. I have been asking my mom, Michelle to get a blog up so that I can share my thoughts with all of the other dogs out there for quite some time- and she just finally got around to it! Anyways, I live in the city of Chicago and boy am I sad to see the summer go. We had a great time going for walks along the lakefront while it was still warm out, I could always be spotted in one of my many dresses of course. Now, it's time to break out the winter coats, it gets chilly here! My mom is working on the Halloween line right now, and let me tell you, they are CUTE! I am the luckiest dog to get to try everything out first. I have quite the wardrobe if you can imagine. The Holiday collection will come next and Mom has some great ideas up her sleeve for that too! So, stay posted and come back to visit us often! There is alot of great stuff in store for Sophisticated Pup in the near future!
